What is CMMC-PNW 2026?
A two-day CMMC conference for Pacific Northwest defense contractors, held August 17 and 18, 2026 at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort in Suquamish, Washington. Twenty-five sessions across two days, with two parallel tracks on Day 2.
Who should attend?
Owners, operations leads, IT managers, and compliance staff at companies in the defense industrial base: machine shops, engineering and construction firms, logistics providers, and professional and IT services firms that hold or expect contracts carrying Federal Contract Information or Controlled Unclassified Information.
What does the agenda cover?
CMMC scoping and boundary decisions, Level 1 and Level 2 requirements, NIST SP 800-171 implementation, gov cloud and on-premises enclave design, hybrid architectures, GRC and evidence, cyber insurance, DFARS flow-down and False Claims Act exposure, and what primes and Navy contracting officers actually require.

Does CMMC still apply after the Phase 2 suspension?
Yes. The Department of War suspended CMMC Phase II on July 13, 2026, which paused third-party assessments. It did not remove the underlying obligation: contracts carrying DFARS 252.204-7012 still require NIST 800-171 implementation, and Level 1 self-assessments remain in force. Several sessions address exactly what changed and what did not.
How do the Day 2 tracks work?
Day 1 is a single track in the Main Hall. On Day 2, the morning splits into Track A and Track B running in parallel, so you can choose enterprise-wide certification, enclave and hybrid design, Level 1, insurance, or GRC depending on where your company sits. Afternoon sessions return to the Main Hall for everyone.
