Eric Crusius is a Partner at the law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth, where he leads the firm’s government contracts practice in Washington after joining from Holland & Knight in 2025. He focuses on government contracts and cybersecurity, with work spanning bid protests, claims and disputes, compliance, and subcontracting, and deep experience on CMMC, DFARS, FAR, CUI handling, and the False Claims Act. He is one of the most active legal voices in the CMMC community, a frequent conference speaker and webinar host, and a regular commentator on federal contracting media. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Hofstra University and brings the legal and contractual lens to the panel.
Besides helping government contractors through compliance and litigation issues, Eric provides strategic and practical advice with matters connected to cybersecurity and privacy in the government contracting space. Among other things, Eric counsels clients on obligations in the FAR (such as FAR 52.204-21) and on agency-specific requirements from the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and others, including the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). Eric also guides companies through cybersecurity incident responses and litigation, including potential ramifications under the False Claims Act (FCA).
