John Nolan is the Vice President of Compliance at ISI Enterprises, one of the first CMMC-certified MSPs in the country. With 23 years of IT experience, 10 of them dedicated exclusively to DoD contractors, he built ISI’s gap assessment, remediation, and compliance programs from the ground up. He personally led ISI through its own CMMC Level 2 assessment with zero POA&Ms in January 2025 and has overseen more than 150 CMMC gap assessment and remediation projects. He speaks to scoping and to the growing role of the False Claims Act in CMMC enforcement, translating the legal landscape into practical steps contractors can take to build a defensible compliance record.
