Koren Wise is a Certified CMMC Lead Assessor and Instructor and the CEO of Wise Technical Innovations (WTI), a Norfolk, Virginia firm with dual authorization in the DoD CMMC ecosystem as both a CMMC Third Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) and an Authorized Training Provider (ATP). Over a 23-year career in IT and network security, she has built a reputation as one of the most trusted voices in CMMC implementation, assessment, and education.

Koren is one of the rare practitioners who has sat on both sides of the assessment table. As an assessor in the Department of Defense Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment (JSVA) program, and as an implementor and consultant, she has guided numerous organizations to a perfect score of 110 in assessments conducted by both DIBCAC and C3PAOs. She is the architect behind WTI’s MVP Enclave and 800-171 Compliance Program, a solution that has been assessed by more than 20 DIBCAC assessors, earning a perfect 110 every time with no POA&Ms required. In one widely cited engagement, she brought the smallest organization seeking certification yet to participate in the JSVA, personally implementing every configuration, every document, and a comprehensive training program from start to finish, and leading them to a flawless 110.

Beyond CMMC, Koren is qualified by the Department of Homeland Security and CISA as a Lead Assessor for the High Value Asset, Cyber Resiliency Review, and External Dependency Management assessment programs. She specializes in standing up cybersecurity programs that meet applicable NIST controls and 800-53 overlays. Under her leadership, WTI is awarded on the GSA HACS schedule for High Value Assessments, Risk and Vulnerability Assessment, Cyber Hunt, Incident Response, and Penetration Testing.
