Kyle Lai is the President and Chief Information Security Officer of KLC Consulting, an authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) serving the Defense Industrial Base with advisory and independent assessment services. With over 20 years of cybersecurity leadership, he specializes in NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance architecture and assessments for manufacturers, aerospace, engineering, software, and MSP/IT organizations across the U.S.
A recognized DoD cybersecurity expert, Kyle has advised Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies including ExxonMobil, Zoom, Boeing, HP, Microsoft, Fidelity, PwC, and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). His prior roles include CISO at Pactera (a Blackstone portfolio company) and Brandeis University’s Heller School, as well as operations manager for the DISA Cybersecurity Portal, the predecessor to public.cyber.mil.
Kyle holds the CMMC Certified Assessor (Lead CCA) and Certified Professional (CCP) designations, along with CISSP, CSSLP, CISA, CDPSE, CIPP/US, CIPP/G, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor credentials, and participates in the C3PAO Stakeholder Forum. He is a guest lecturer at Brown University and Lone Star College, where he also serves on the Cybersecurity Bachelor’s Advisory Board, and has built widely adopted security tools including the SMAC MAC Address Changer used by millions worldwide
