Steve Treanor is the founder and CEO of Help Desk Cavalry, a Kitsap County–based managed service provider specializing in secure IT operations, compliance-driven modernization, and resilient support for small and mid-sized organizations across the Pacific Northwest. A former U.S. Army Cavalry Scout and honorably discharged disabled veteran, he draws on a decade of military service and decades in enterprise IT to lead outcomes-focused cyber, cloud, and end-user services that reduce risk and accelerate mission readiness for regulated industries.
Under Steve’s leadership, Help Desk Cavalry has grown from a local help desk into a high-performing MSP recognized for standardization, Hardware-as-a-Service, and predictable, measurable service delivery aligned to business outcomes. His teams implement pragmatic controls, automate patch and configuration baselines, and build right-sized security programs that map to frameworks including NIST SP 800‑171 and CMMC, emphasizing policy-to-operations translation, evidence generation, and continuous improvement.
Steve frequently partners with defense industrial base contractors on readiness assessments, gap remediation, and long-term governance, helping organizations operationalize requirements such as access control, auditing, vulnerability management, and incident response while maintaining productivity. He is known for clear, vendor-agnostic guidance that turns compliance into durable operational discipline, bridging leadership priorities with technical execution.
