Dan Fox is the Director of Cybersecurity Services at ScalePad and the co-founder of ControlMap, where he helps MSPs build and scale profitable compliance practices across frameworks such as CMMC, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS, and HIPAA. He is a three-time SaaS founder and seasoned product leader whose platforms have focused on security awareness and compliance automation for service providers and their clients.
Before ControlMap was acquired by ScalePad, Dan led product and go-to-market efforts that streamlined continuous compliance through multi-tenant automation, integrations, and prescriptive control mapping designed for MSP workflows. Previously, he co-founded Securecast, a security awareness platform later acquired by Webroot, and went on to lead security awareness-as-a-service initiatives at Webroot and Carbonite. Earlier in his career, he held information security and sales engineering leadership roles at Smarsh and worked across enterprise infrastructure and operations in technology-driven environments.
Dan holds industry certifications including CISSP and multiple Microsoft credentials, and is known for translating complex governance, risk, and compliance requirements into practical, operational playbooks for MSPs. Based in the Pacific Northwest, he frequently speaks with the channel community about operationalizing compliance to reduce risk, differentiate services, and accelerate revenue.
